ADMISSIONS POLICY SUMMARY AT GONUBIE PRIMARY SCHOOL
Applications Open in Term 2.
Who May Apply?
Parents, legal guardians, or persons legally responsible for a learner may apply for admission. Required Documents:
- Birth certificate
- Parent/guardian ID
- Proof of residence
- Immunisation record
- Latest school reports (where applicable)
- Transfer card/conduct certificate (for transferring learners)
Admission Preference
Where applications exceed available space, preference may be given to:
- Learners living within the school’s feeder area
- Siblings of current learners
- Learners whose parents work within the feeder area
- Learners able to access the school’s language of instruction (English)
Age Requirements
Learners must meet the age requirements for the grade applied for in accordance with Department of Education guidelines.
Important Information
✅ Admission is subject to available space and school capacity.
✅ Fee exemptions are available to qualifying families.
✅ Gonubie Primary School is an English-medium school.
✅ All learners are expected to uphold the school’s Code of Conduct and values.
Application Outcomes
Parents will be informed of the outcome of their application between July and September.
